Virtual Workshop for Study Abroad: Program Wizard Brochures

Are you interested in updating your program brochures to the new Program Wizard but just haven’t made a plan to move forward with it yet? There’s no time like the present! Start the 2019-2020 academic year with a new look and feel for your TDS program brochures by participating in the Program Wizard Virtual Workshop: July 8-19, 2019!

The Program Wizard Workshop is a 2-week, online program designed for clients who have a TDS license for study abroad, already have a basic understanding of program building in TDS, and who are interested in making big progress towards freshening up the look and feel of their non-Directory program brochures through utilization of the Program Wizard. 

This workshop will offer clients training and coaching in a personalized setting, utilizing a mixture of demonstration, practice exercises, hands-on development, individual meetings, and group work - all from the convenience of your office.

During the 2-weeks, participants should plan to spend an average of 1 hour per day in training/meeting/working sessions (some days as low as 30 minutes, other days up to 2 hours), plus an additional couple of hours per day outside of the structured sessions in order to accomplish the goals of the program. Clients who are able to devote additional hours will have greater outcomes at the completion of the workshop.

Workshop Outcomes

  • Confidence in building and editing Program Wizard templates, building new programs with the Program Wizard, and brochure migration from the classic program builder to Program Wizard
  • At least one fully developed, sustainable Program Wizard template (possibly more!)
  • Some or all of your non-Directory program brochures migrated to Program Wizard - progress depends on time commitment of the participant, complexity of brochure design, and volume of programs to be migrated
  • A cohort of other Terra Dotta clients invested in the Program Wizard feature for continued collaboration after the workshop

Mon Jul 8 11am - 1pm EDT Group Training: Introductions, 1 hour demonstration/training on Program Wizard functionality (including templates), followed immediately by a 45 minute live working session for practice.

Wed Jul 10
TBD Individual Meeting: 1 hour individual meeting to develop your template and migration plan with support and consultation from a Terra Dotta subject matter expert (to be scheduled individually). Each client will have 1 meeting on one of these days. Activities/homework will be suggested for the “off” day.
Thurs Jul 11 11am - 12pm EDT Group Training: 1 hour design best practices demonstration and discussion, including tips and tricks.
Fri Jul 12 TBD Small Groups: 1 hour small group meeting to check progress. Meetings will be attended also by a Terra Dotta subject matter expert (to be scheduled after groups are formed).
Mon Jul 15 11am - 12:30pm EDT Group Training: 1 hour training/demonstration of brochure migration, followed immediately by 30 minutes of workshop style hands-on exercises.
Tues Jul 16 TBD Small Groups: 1 hour small group meeting to check progress. Meetings will be attended also by a Terra Dotta subject matter expert, (to be scheduled after groups are formed).
Wed Jul 17 TBD Individual Meeting: 30 minute individual check-in meeting with a Terra Dotta subject matter expert, (to be scheduled individually).
Thurs Jul 18 TBD Small Groups: 1 hour small group meeting to check progress. Meetings will be attended also by a Terra Dotta subject matter expert, (to be scheduled after groups are formed).
Fri Jul 19 11am - 1pm EDT Group Meeting: 2 hour Show and Tell and celebration! Each participant will show off their outcomes to the large group.
Mon Sept 16 11am - 12pm EDT Group Meeting: Post-workshop check-in. All participants will have the opportunity to discuss the outcomes of the workshop, successes and challenges, and share updates.

Cancellations

Requests for refunds can be made in writing to conference@terradotta.com.  Fees will be refunded minus a $60.00 service fee for requests made prior to July 1, 2019.  You also have the option to transfer your full registration cost towards another attendee. No refunds will be made on or after July 1, 2019.
